One Round Ball: Football’s Connections Across South Australia
1 - 31 MAY 2026
Join us at ServiceFM Stadium, the home of football in South Australia, for a powerful exploration of how one round ball has created countless connections across our state and beyond. This year’s History Festival event focuses on the links that football builds, between migrants and locals, families and clubs, grassroots grounds and global stages. Discover how the game has connected communities, shaped identities and created lifelong friendships across generations. Explore a curated collection of historical photographs, trophies, memorabilia and stories that highlight South Australia’s place in the world game. Hear personal reflections from historian Margaret Bowden and Museum Working Group volunteers, and be invited to share your own football connections. This is not just an exhibition, it’s a conversation. An opportunity to reflect on the people, places and moments that tie us together through football. Whether you grew up playing, cheering from the sidelines, or simply love a good story, you’ll leave seeing the game and its reach in a whole new light.
