    2023 Junior Development League - Nomination Form

  • Football SA are pleased to announce the ‘Junior Development League’ for Junior Boys and Girls for 2023. This competition was introduced last year to provide additional development opportunities over the off-season for players and coaches.

    Please see below note from Football SA’s Technical Director, Michael Cooper which highlights the benefits of this competition:

    “A development league is ideal for players to gain more football experiences in a positive environment. The format has been designed to maximise touches on the ball and decision making in tight spaces against like minded players of similar development stage. FSA will work with clubs and coaches to ensure they are providing a positive development experience which is underpinned by long term youth development principles and positive youth values and ethics.”

     

  • 2023 Junior Development League: Structure

    - Available in the following age groups:

                                 - U10, U11, U12 & U14 for Boys;

                                 - U11 & U13 for Girls.

    - Games will be played in a 8v8 format.

    - Games will be 'non-competitive' i.e, no league standings/results.

    - Games will be scheduled on Wednesday and/or Friday nights.

    - Draft Structures Established from 07 September 2023

    - Player & Team Official Registration Opens 07 September 2023

    - Final Structures Confirmed from 25 September 2023

    - Draft Fixtures Established from 25 September 2023

    - Final Fixtures Confirmed from 3 October 2023

    - Coaches Meeting Monday 16 October 2023

    - Matches Commence Wednesday 18 October 2023

    - Last Round of Matches Friday 8 December 2023

    - Coaches Meeting & Presentation Monday 11 December 2023

  • Address for all Correspondence All correspondence sent from Football South Australia will be forwarded to clubs via e-mail. This information will be sent out to the people that your club nominates below.  Please ensure that the e-mail addresses that your club provides are accurate and that you nominate three people to receive this information.

  • Junior Development League: Teams

    1. Clubs are able to enter one team in each of the available age groups. 
    2. If a club withdraws a team after submitting the Nomination Form, sanctions will be imposed in accordance with Football South Australia Competition Rules and Regulations.
    3. Football South Australia reserves the right to use its absolute discretion in the allocation of teams into leagues and/or geographic zones after receiving all nominations.
     
    Please select teams based on where they will be playing in the 2024 season. For example, U10 (2014 born), U12 (2012 born) etc.

    All nominated coaches must meet the accreditation requirements and be registered in the FA National Registration database as outlined in the Competition Operating Regulations.

     

    Competition Qualification Required:

    All Coaches: FA/AFC C-Licence (Desired but not compulsory)

    All participating teams are required to attend a coaching/player development workshop at the start and at the end of the competition. This will be conducted by Football SA’s Technical Director Michael Cooper.

     

    Session 1: Saturday 14 October (9:30am - 11:00am)

    Session 2: Monday 11 December (6:30pm - 8:00pm)

  • Junior Development League: Fees
     
    Registration Fee: $35 + GST per player
    Team Registration Fee: $100 per team
      
    Referee Fees: $60 per game
